UN officials call on PM Dahal

Chief Executive Officers of various development organisations associated with United Nations (UN) called on Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal at the latter’s residence in Baluwatar on Friday.
During the joint meeting, PM Dahal and Chief Executive Officers of the organisations discussed contemporary political issues of Nepal and development projects being operated with the assistance of UN.
Prime Minister Dahal, who is also the Chairman of ruling CPN (Maoist Centre), informed the officials about the preparations of local level elections slated for May 14.
Saying that the Nepal government has been working vigorously to implement the constitution, conclude peace process, reconstruction and take the country towards the path of economic prosperity, PM Dahal said that the help and goodwill of UN are essential for the same.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Dahal thanked the UN officials for the UN role in Nepal’s peace process and development projects.
Saying that the progress of development projects being operated with the assistance of development organisations of UN was positive, the officials said that they would take initiatives to add more investment.
