Aug 13, 2017- Continuous rainfall across the country for the past two days and resulting flood and landslides have claimed 41 lives while dozens others are missing across the country.
Thirty-four deaths were reported until Saturday night which, until Sunday afternoon, climbed to 41.
Six members of a single family drowned with a pregnant woman and a minor girl when a jeep they were traveling drowned in floodwater in Rautahat district. Two other deaths have been reported in Makwanpur district.
Many cities in the Tarai region have been inundated while transportation along the East West Highway has been halted after a pillar of Dudhaura bridge sank at Pathlaiya-Nijgadh road section.
