Flood, landslide displace 15 families in Kaski

At least 15 families have been displaced due to flood and landslide at Pathrebasti in Ribhan of Machhapuchhare Rural Municipality, Kaski.
The families have been left in lurch after a local rivulet entered into the village on Tuesday night.
Some houses are facing high risks. However, no human casualty has been reported as the locals managed to flee their houses on time, according to DSP Khadga Bahadur Khatri.
He added that some cattle, clothes, utensils and food products were swept away by the floods.
The families of Devi Lal Lamichhane, Prabin Lamichhane, Ganga Bahadur BK, Dambar Bahadur Pariyar, Nar Bahadur BK, Jung Bahadr BK, Ganga Acharya, Dinanath Paudel, Him Lal Bhusal, Santu Lamichhane, Prem Bahadur BK, Ram Man BK, Bhim Bahadur BK, Khim Bahadur BK and Resham Lamichhane were displaced in the flood and landslide.
They are taking shelter at their neighbours’ houses since Tuesday night.
The displaced families are in more trouble as the rainfall has not stopped yet.
A culvert, an electricity transformer and electric poles were swept away by the flood.
Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force personnel have been deployed in the incident site for rescue operation. They salvaged the goods buried in the landslide.
Meanwhile, District Administration Office, Kaski, distributed Rs 15,000 in cash, blankets and tarpaulin to each displaced families.
