Kamal Thapa-led Rastriya Prajatantra Party has expelled 17 party leaders following a split in the party.
Party's Pashupati Shamsher Rana faction on Sunday split from RPP to announce Rastriya Prajatantra Party Prajatantrik. The expelled leaders have joined Rana's new party.
Six lawmakers--Dipak Bohora, Sunil Thapa, Resham Lama, Biraj Bista, Rajya Laxmi Shrestha and Babina Lawati-- and 11 central committee members are among those expelled by the party following a central committee meeting.
