Oct 30, 2017-Six people were killed in a jeep accident along Siddhicharan Highway in Udaypur district on Monday.
The Okhaldhunga-bound jeep (Na 1 Ja 3404) met with the accident at Thandi Bhanjyang in Katari-11.
The identifications of the deceased have not been confirmed yet. However, it has been learnt that five of the deceased passengers are male and another one female. Three injured passengers have been taken to Katari Hospital.
Chairman of Katarai Municipality-11 Deepak Buda Chhetri said that a minor child was safely retrieved from the jeep.
According to locals, the ill-fated jeep has plunged some 800 meters from the road. Udaypur SP Nawaraj Bhatta said a police team has been send to the accident site.
The jeep left Katari with 10 people onboard. Police, however, said the number of people inside the jeep at the time of the accident has not been known yet.
